The Region
Podere Pavolini’s wine estate and vines are situated on the hillsides in Val d’Arda, which lead to the Appennino Ligurian mountains towards the Padana countryside. The estate grounds are within the DOC Piacentini Hills, which date back to the Pliocene era, deep, rich in fossils and made up of a rock, clay and grey sand.
Five hectares of vines spread across the steep hillsides 250 metres above sea level. Biologically cultivated by Graziano Terzoni using indigenous vines including Malvasia, Ortrugo, Fortana and Bonarda.
Since April 2023 Podere Pavolini has been associated with the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers
